Skanska's Preventative Actions for Major Weather Events.  The project's Inclimate Weather & Lighting Policy can be found in "Project Files":

  • Review all ongoing exterior construction activities to ensure all workers, equipment and activities are able to still take place throughout inclement weather
  • If not, stop work temporarily or until weather event has ended and safe to resume work
  • Conduct a thorough review of the project site perimeter fencing to ensure stability and safety adjacent to any publicly accessible areas
  • Ensure that all erosion controls around Clay Pit Pond are intact and repaired if necessary
  • Ensure all silt containment at all permanent and temporary storm drain basins are operation, and clear for proper drainage and protection of system
  • Secure all loose materials around project site, including any elevated loading dock and roofing areas
  • Store and protect all permanent project exterior materials (glass, siding, etc) to be installed in a safe area
  • Compact and/or remove all dumpster debris to avoid loose construction trash from being impacted by high winds
  • Maintain any open contact with Town Public Safety officials if necessary
