Because of the indemnity provisions and insurance requirements in our Owner contracts, Skanska has certain insurance requirements of our Subcontractor/Vendor Partners. The insurance requirements set forth in Skanska Subcontracts are in place to protect our Owners, our Subcontractors/Vendor Partners, and Skanska in the event of a claim. While our focus at Skanska is delivering projects without claims, it's the nature of our industry that claims can happen; therefore, insurance coverage must be obtained to financially protect the interests of all parties involved.
Skanska's review process is extensive to protect the interests and can run smoothly with the cooperation of all parties involved. The following information is provided within this site to guide Agents, Brokers, and Subcontractors through the process prior to bidding work on our projects:
